The enemy enforced this war on Iran through Saddam; many innocent lives were lost but the blood of the martyrs seeped into the roots of this divine revolution - resulting in its tremendous growth. Today, this becomes a role model for all the other nations.

As we enter the week of the anniversary of the Sacred Defense (دفاع مقدس), let\'s understand that despite the fact that we incurred human loss and financial loss, the gains and benefits of this US imposed war on Iran - back in 1980 - overshadow the losses. This is a lesson for us today. If we wish to live with dignity, we need to defend ourselves and our generations against the plots and schemes of the enemies. We may, at times, incur material losses in this process; but rest assured the long term benefits of this resistance are immense. This is the lesson of the valuable martyrs of the Sacred Defence.
