Iran\\\'s Foreign Minister says Tehran will prudently respond to any unconstructive action against his country.
Mohammad Javad Zarif has written on his Facebook page that Iran will seriously pursue the nuclear negotiations, and will respond to any improper action even if it does not violate the Geneva deal. He explained that Tehran has given an appropriate response to the United States\\\' recent move. In recent days, the US Treasury Department added the names of nineteen companies and individuals to its sanctions list for allegedly supporting Iran\\\'s nuclear program.

A new report has revealed the reality of a power struggle in Saudi Arabia. The country\\\'s spy chief is pushing to expand his power in the Persian Gulf Kingdom.
The report says Bandar Bin Sultan is doing all he can to remove Saudi King Malek Abdullah\\\'s successor crown prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz from power. Bandar has apparently spread rumors of Salman\\\'s bad health condition and his inability to conduct his official duties. According to the report, Bandar and his lobby are campaigning to persuade the king to remove Salman from power and replace him with House member Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al Saud. The issue has been rejected by the Allegiance Council, which is from now on in charge of selecting the king\\\'s successor. Bandar is accused of being behind numerous deadly terrorist acts in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq.

The United States is said to be backing away from a December 31 deadline for signing the controversial security deal with Afghanistan.
American and Afghan officials say the Obama administration is going to wait in order to strike the deal that will allow it to keep its troops in Afghanistan beyond the 2014 withdrawal deadline. The decision, however, is being viewed as an embarrassing turn following weeks of threats by US officials that a complete withdrawal is possible if President Hamid Karzai refuses to sign the pact. The Afghan president came under additional pressure after NATO chief urged him to sign the deal with the US or there will be no agreement with the military alliance either. Karzai has warned that he will not allow continued foreign presence if it means more bombs and civilian killings.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has sent a message to Pope Francis, expressing his determination to defend Syrians of all religions against Takfiri militants.
The message was delivered during a meeting between the Syrian minister of state and the Pope\\\\\\\'s secretary of state. In his message, Assad says his government protects all its citizens against foreign-backed militants who attack civilians in their homes and places of worship. He also stressed the significance of dialog as the only option to find a way out of the current crisis in the country. The Syrian president also condemned arming militants by neighboring countries. Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since 2011. The conflict is estimated to have killed over 126000 people and displaced millions.

Hossien Gharedaqi is a simple teacher, who is also a professional cycle tourist. He lives in a remote village in northwest of Iran.
But his latest tour handed him a memory which he would never forget. During his recent tour of the United Arab Emirates he was detained and imprisoned on allegations of espionage activities. He says he was kept in jail for 78 days in the subhuman conditions with no access to basic needs. This comes as Hossien Ghare daghi says travels to different countries with the message of peace and friendship for the world. Although Hossein is now been free, the Iranian foreign ministry says it is still following up the case through diplomatic channels. The accusation of espionage seems to have become an instrument in the hands of certain countries to put ordinary nationals of other countries in prison for a period of time. This comes Iran has always treated foreign prisoners inside the country through Islamic clemency and in return expects other countries to respect its nationals in different conditions.

Acting Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas has once again warned against Israel\\\'s illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Abbas has threatened to take diplomatic and legal action against what he calls the cancer of Israeli settlement building. He said that Palestine will use its rights as a UN observer to stop Israel\\\'s expansionist agenda. The statements came ahead of a visit to the Middle East by US Secretary of State John Kerry, which begins on Wednesday. Kerry is making the trip in order to try to convince Israel and the Palestinian Authority to agree on a framework for the so-called peace talks. Tel Aviv\\\'s refusal to stop building settlements is one of the stumbling blocks for the US-brokered direct talks. The international community has long viewed Israeli settlements as illegal.

More tension in US-Afghanistan ties. Washington wants Kabul to halt the release of prisoners from a jail that was handed over to Afghan officials recently.
The Bagram prison north of Kabul has been holding hundreds of prisoners for years. They were detained while the facility was under the American control. But the US ceded its control to the Afghans after several years of delay. Now, the Afghan government wants to free 88 prisoners there. It follows the release of at least 600 and fifty inmates. Kabul says it\\\'s found insufficient evidence to continue their detention. But Washington is angry about this, saying the prisoners pose a serious security threat. The row comes at a time when relations between the two sides are at a new low. Ties have grown strained particularly over President Hamid Karzai\\\'s refusal to sign a security deal to keep US troops in Afghanistan after 2014.

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniya has reached out to West Bank rivals Fatah, saying its members will be allowed back into Gaza, in an effort to promote Palestinian reconciliation.
Haniya stated that the Hamas government will allow all Fatah members who are from the Gaza Strip and who left the territory in 2007 to return, without any precondition. But the Hamas prime minister made exceptions for those accused of killing Hamas members during intense factional fighting that year. Haniya had a phone conversation with Fatah leader and acting Palestinian authority chief Mahmoud Abbas in October, during which he called for a resolution of their dispute and a QUOTE return to national unity.

A Saudi source says Saudi Arabia is in talks with Pakistan to provide Syrian insurgents with anti-aircraft and anti-tank rockets. The source who is close to Saudi decision-makers referred to the recent meetings between Riyadh and Islamabad\'s high-ranking officials. Riyadh is seeking to provide the militants in Syria with Pakistan\'s version of Chinese shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles, known as Anza, and anti-tank rockets. The source also noted that Jordan will provide facilities to store the weapons before they are delivered to militants in Syria. The head of the Syrian National Coalition Ahmad Jarba said during a visit to northern Syria last week that powerful arms would be arriving soon.

The fuel crisis in the besieged Gaza Strip has forced the residents of the coastal enclave to turn to the Sun to meet their energy demands.
Authorities of this crisis-hit hospital in Gaza have decided to install solar panels to get the most out of the sunlight. They say loss of power for even a minute could spell disaster for the patients there. Gazan officials hope the solar power could play a bigger role in providing energy for the Palestinians. But the solar panels are a bit costly and not everybody in the impoverished enclave can afford using them. Gaza has been under a crippling Israeli blockade for several years now. This has been exacerbated by the closure of the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt.

- With the surging second wave of the COVID-9 pandemic, the reality of death is a clear and present reality in front of us
- What can we do to remember family and friends who have passed away?
- In Islamic literature, there is a concept of \'isale sawab\' - sending gifts to those who have passed
- Covering the 3 forms of gifts: praying for forgiveness, reciting the Qur\'an, and charity
- The two forms of charity, singular and perpetual
- The need to innovate on charitable actions for the deceased, especially looking at the aspect of constant reprinting of Qur\'ans
- The importance of visiting graves
- Narrating a story told by the Prophet regarding charity
\"When someone passes, the family prints Sura Yasin booklets for distribution hoping it\'s recited, & the thawab will go to the deceased. Tell me which Muslim household doesn\'t already have a Qur\'an? Which Qur\'an doesn\'t already have Sura Yasin? Be creative with your charity, look for something that will both help your community & generate thawab for the deceased, such as children\'s education for example. If you really want to print something, then select a dua from Sahifa Sajjadiyyah, or a sermon from Nahjul Balagha so more people may benefit.\"

PA to renew Israeli talks without freeze
Despite Israel's refusal to extend its settlement freeze, the Palestinian Authority (PA) will still resume the second round of direct talks with Tel Aviv.
The upcoming meeting will be held at Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Tuesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and acting PA Chief Mahmoud Abbas held the first round of negotiations in Washington on September 2.
Following the first meeting, Abbas warned that he would leave the negotiations should Israel resume its illegal settlement activities.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US Middle East Envoy George Mitchell will also travel to Egypt to attend the meeting.
The four officials will then move to al-Quds (Jerusalem) for a second day of talks on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, US President Barack Obama will meet with Abbas and Netanyahu in New York next week during the UN General Assembly meeting.
The second round of Israeli-PA talks comes after Israel on Monday approved the construction of more than 13,000 new settler units in the occupied West Bank.
In November, the Israeli premier announced a 10-month freeze on illegal settlement expansion projects in the occupied West Bank.
But Tel Aviv has repeatedly violated the freeze, which expires on September 26, by continuing to construct more settlement units.

Israeli tanks roll into Gaza Strip
Israeli tanks have attacked Palestinian refugee camp of al-Burage in their second invasion of the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.
The Israeli military claimed Monday that the attack was in retaliation for mortar attacks by Hamas fighters on southern Israel.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The raid came after an Israeli tank on Sunday killed three people in the town of Beit Hanoun.
The Israeli violation of the coastal enclave comes after the Palestinian Authority engaged in direct talks with Tel Aviv.
The incursion is in violation of a Palestinian demand for Israel's complete withdrawal behind the borders of 1967, when it captured Gaza, the West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
Gaza is still far from recovering from the Israeli war at the turn of 2009, which killed more than 1,400 Palestinians, most of them civilians.
